Ego's Rain

By Mansha Singh

It might have taken nothing
For wind to have me intrigued
That was already a circadian
Until rainbow looked thorough
To me
One slow dusk
An intricating nub
That I’d surrendered over
Where wind murmured my name
To clouds it’d reigned throughout
Put me beneath the images
Of darker skies
Succumbing quite off my ego
Cleaning another desire to have born
To offer his gush of hues
For not when I awaited
Or the world did
When had it seemed as huge
And have outstretched towards me
Though it has ‘the rain’
In abundance
‘The rain’ alone vexed my yearning
Or my heart was too little,
Despite of being full
On my brain
The white smog stepped back
In forbearance
So they must show up
Ahead of a still but blurred ‘rainbow’
When my greed goes deaf
